    Pondering text, tone, and all the stuff that has gone unwritten Tone It is true that tone makes all the difference in whatever it is that is being said. Or written. Or read.     NowI, like many postmoderns, have a very busy life. I have a family. I also have a career. I’m plugged into church, community, and, I hope, the world as a whole.     I choose bold.

     My husband called me out on something I posted the other day. In a loving way, of course. He didn’t actually have to finish his sentence. After he read my Words for Wednesday last week, I knew where he was going when he said, “So you’ve got this quote in here from Jen Hatmaker about wanting kids to be brave and how you want that, too…” I knew what he was getting at.
