In which we find ourselves in NOLA…once again

This time, it was for BB’s birthday. For months, he insisted that for his 7th birthday, rather than a typical birthday party, he wanted us to take him to New Orleans. Specifically, he wanted to go to the zoo, swim in the hotel pool, and eat Turtle Soup at Galatoire’s. I had a moment of panic on Saturday morning, as we were getting ready to leave. I knew the forecast was for rain on Friday, and possibly Saturday, in the big easy, but on Saturday morning, I learned there had been some flooding in the French Quarter, with (according to the forecast) more rain on the way. Bring on the rain

So there’s been one big question everyone at my house has been asking me lately. “When are you going to post on your blog again?” It’s been a minute, so to speak. I’ve been blogging this month over at Mississippi Women Bloggers. We’ve also had a particularly busy March around the Rogers house. She did leave her Blogger thing (whatever it’s called) open though. Besides, I’m not up to anything malicious. Christmas is right around the corner, and Jenny Mac’s favorite Christmas song is “O Holy Night.” So I thought I would share this version with her readers in celebration of the season. (Actually, I email this out every year. She HATES it. Cringes every…

Move over Monday, the weekend’s still with me

So it’s Monday. And, of course, no one likes a Monday. So I’m just gonna cruise on back through the weekend, because it provided a couple of such memorable moments, they’re still hanging on and making me smile, even well into a very busy Monday. It’s beginning to look a lot like… First of all, hubs had to work a little late Friday night, and BB went to spend the night with his grandmother. (He is a mama’s boy, but having been sick and home from school much of the week, just might have had just a little too much motherly TLC. Or hovering, whatever. To-may-to, to-mah-to.) This meant that…
